Meet our Providers

David Rousmaniere, MBA

David is responsible for the administration of the Student Health Center.  He manages the budget and is the University’s HIPAA Privacy Officer responsible for patient confidentiality policies.

Robert Jones, MD

Dr. Jones oversees all the clinical areas and supervises the medical providers.  Dr. Jones is on campus and community health related committees including the campus and Mecklenburg County pandemic flu committee.

Emily Stewart, RN, BSN

Emily manages the services provided by the clinical areas of the Student Health Center. She supervises staff in the laboratory, radiology, immunizations, and nursing departments. She also coordinates services provided by our Physical Therapist and Registered Dietitian. She arranges the GYN specialty clinics and schedules free HIV testing clinics in conjunction with MAP (Metrolina AIDS Project) at the Health Center.

Eileen is responsible for achieving and maintaining quality of care compliance standards for clinic accreditation and quality assurance. She conducts staff training and is involved with SOAR presentations on the campus as part of outreach services.

Judy supervises the front office and medical records staffs.  She responsible for purchasing, accounts payable, interdepartmental transfers, journal entries and facility management.   

Josh Walters

Josh is over the front office reception staff, and is responsible for patient appointment scheduling, patient and insurance payments, facility management, the web site and computer system upkeep.   

Diane Bailey

Diane is responsible for maintaining and assuring the confidentiality of patient medical records.  Her department assists patients to obtain copies of their medical records.

Kelly Proctor                                                                        
Insurance Coordinator

Kelly is responsible for the mandatory health insurance program including waiving insurance.  She also files claims for Student Health Center services to the university sponsored insurance provider. 

Pam Ress, RN, BSN                                                           
Allergy, Travel and Immunizations

Pam’s department is responsible for students complying with the State of North Carolina immunization requirement.  The department administers vaccines for immunization compliance as well as other vaccines important for preventive health such as meningiococcal vaccine, HPV vaccine, and flu vaccine. Our travel clinic is conducted through this department as well as our allergy clinic.

Julie is responsible for the staffing of nursing personnel in the medical clinic as well as assuring the quality of care provided by the nursing staff. She is the infection control nurse within the health center.

Camilla provides physical therapy to patients referred from a medical provider.

Susan Hudson, MT (ASCP)

Susan coordinates the services available in the medical laboratory where specimens are collected and testing is conducted for patients within the Student Health Center as well as for patients with orders from outside medical providers.

Donna coordinates the services provided in the digital x-ray department which accepts orders from Student Health Center and outside providers.

Pharmacist

John manages the pharmacy, including ordering and dispensing medications.  He counsels patients for medications and dosages.

Katie provides individual Medical Nutrition Therapy for a variety of health conditions. She conducts individual and group classes about college student nutrition and sports nutrition.  She also provides individual weight management counseling.

Debbie Insley, M.S.,LCAS

Wellness Promotion is responsible for promoting healthy life styles to the student population. Debbie provides individual counseling sessions to students who have violated the university’s drug and alcohol policy, as well as overseeing the alcohol sanctions program. She is a member of the UNC Charlotte Wellness Matrix, as well as the Chair of the Substance Abuse subcommittee. She manages the department’s grants.

Leslie provides education of sexual health and other wellness topics. Leslie is a member of the UNC Charlotte Wellness Matrix Team as well as the Relationship Violence subcommittee.
