AWARE (Alcohol With Acceptance of
Responsibility Education)
AWARE is designed to assist students who have
been found in violation of University policies involving alcohol and/or other
drugs. AWARE involves a one-on-one assessment, an educational class,
and/or counseling, as deemed appropriate. In order to fulfill a sanction (whether mandated by
Housing and Residence Life or the Dean of Students Office), it is first
necessary to schedule an assessment through the Wellness Promotion Department of
the Student Health Center.
To make an appointment for an assessment, call 704-687-4622.
Please note:
Failure to complete a sanction may result in the inability
to register for
classes.
There is no charge
for an assessment; however, a fee
is charged for the sanctions class.
YOU MUST HAVE AN ASSESSMENT PRIOR TO
REGISTERING FOR A SANCTIONS CLASS
